Visiting the Midwife
Its been a while since I updated my blog so thought I had better!
So just over a week ago, Dan and I went to see the Midwife, Carole. We met her in a small office inside Wantage Hospital. It was a good oppertunity to see the hospital's maternity unit but my gut instinct was to remain anonymous in a large hospital such as the JR!
Carole was lovely - very friendly and told us lots of information. She also took some blood from me so they can test what type of blood group I am. She also picked up some protein in my wee so I had to take a sample to my drs to be sent off for analysis. I haven't heard the results from this so Im guessing its all okay!
We were with Carole for about half an hour and she said we could phone her at any time if we had any queries.
This was good to know, especially yesterday, when I found some blood when I had been for a wee. I phoned Carole, left a message and she got back to me within the hour. She told me that it was probably nothing to worry about but to keep an eye on it this week and to take it easy over the next couple of days. I have taken annual leave from work today to have a day at home and there has been no more blood.
